Today, bit.ly celebrates two years of shortening, sharing and tracking URLs. And since two years is the pizza and energy drinks anniversary, we are marking the occasion with a HACKATHON. Get ready to write code, eat pizza, drink caffeinated beverages, make friends, share ideas, and (maybe) fall in love all over again.
What exactly is a hackathon? Here’s how it works: just bring your portable-est computer to bit.ly’s office fortress in downtown New York on Wednesday, July 14th from 6:30pm to 11:30pm and hack away on the project(s) of your choice. If your project is bit.ly-related, our engineers will be on hand to answer any questions you may have. If your project isn’t bit.ly-related… well, that’s fine by us. We like to build cool things, and we think that you do, too.
For more information and to RSVP, visit hackabit.com. The pizza and energy drinks are on us.
P.S. Even if you can’t make it to hack.a.bit, we’d love to see what you’re working on; we’re on the lookout for a few good engineers to join our team. For more information, check out bit.ly/jobs.
Today, Buzzom has made a new feature addition its interface. Currently, every tweet and replies that you see in your Twitter Stream doesn’t show any threaded conversation. Therefore it is very difficult to track down the conversation in Twitter.
Buzzom brings a threaded conversation view to your interface making your life much easier. Now, when ever you see your replies, you can simple click on the “Show Conversation” to view the past conversation.
Here is the conversation of mine with BusinessWire in Buzzom.
In this conversation, simply click on ‘Show Conversation’ :

As you click on Show Conversation, you can view all the old conversation. You can now go through them and simply click on reply to respond.
Hope you enjoy our new feature which will allows you to engage with your network in better ways. If you have any feed-backs, please note them below in the comment.
